Who is the National Playground Compliance Group
The NPCG is the combination of quality manufacturing companies under a single corporate umbrella, creating and designing playground equipment and rubber tile safety surfacing for the creation of safe and accessible outdoor play and fitness areas.
Many schools cannot afford to purchase both playground equipment and proper safety surfacing. By working directly with the NPCG you save thousands by cutting out the commissions paid to dealers and resellers. Utilizing Overall Solutions® will help with financing and provide the professional experience necessary to create and maintain a fully compliant play area for your children.

How do DuroMat Extended Life™ playground safety products improve my playground?
Fall Height Safety - Rubber surfacing provides consistent, long-term fall-height protection. Because “loose-fill” surfacing (wood chips, mulch, sand, pea gravel) loses its protective characteristics as it is used, children may be more at risk for injury. Also, loose-fill materials can harbor unsafe allergens, foreign material and objects. Long-Term Maintenance Savings - The daily and annual maintenance of loose-fill playground surfacing is expensive. Not only do loose-fill playgrounds require high maintenance, but the material can also be carried onto sidewalks and into school buildings, creating additional work for custodial staff. Rubber surfacing, on the other hand, requires minimal care. ADA Accessibility - The American Disabilities Act (ADA) requires schools to provide all children with access to their playgrounds. Most loose-fill surface playgrounds do not allow children in wheel chairs or with other disabilities to easily use the equipment. More Playtime - Because this playground rubber surfacing does not freeze, stays cleaner and dries quickly, children receive extended days of playtime during the school year.

Will shredded rubber chips offer the same quality of safety as Rubber Tiles?
NO, shredded rubber has the same problem as all loose-fill material. It is easily kicked out of place by children at play and must be maintainted daily per Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines. In addition, shredded rubber has a tendency to harbor foreign material, animal feces and sharp objects. Shredded rubber material can also be inhaled or injested by younger children creating health concerns. Shredded rubber surfaces are more likely to be the target of vandals because the rubber shreds are easily ignited.
